Privacy Policy
Effective Date: April 29, 2026
Applies to: Wireless City Website, Wireless City Customer App & Wireless City Technician App
Last Updated: April 29, 2026
1. Overview
Welcome to Wireless City (“we,” “our,” or “us”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our mobile applications — the Wireless City Customer App and the Wireless City Technician App (collectively, the “Apps”) — and our related services.
By downloading, registering, or using either App, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please uninstall the Apps and do not use our services.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
- Full name, email address, and phone number (at registration)
- Password (stored as a secure hash — never in plain text)
- Payment information (processed by Stripe — we do not store your card numbers)
- Profile photo (optional, for technicians)
- Government-issued ID photo (technicians only, for identity verification)
- Tool kit photo (technicians only, for onboarding verification)
- Repair request descriptions, device type, and issue details
- Messages or notes exchanged during a service request
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device location (GPS) — used to match you with nearby technicians and track repair progress; collected only when the app is in use
- Device information: model, operating system version, unique device ID
- Push notification token (for sending repair status updates and alerts)
- App usage data: screens visited, features used, time spent in app
- IP address and approximate location at login
2.3 Information From Third Parties
- Stripe: payment confirmation, payout status, and Stripe Connect account status (for technicians)
- Firebase / Google: push notification delivery status
- Google Maps: address lookup and routing data for repair tracking
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account
- Match customers with available, nearby technicians
- Process payments and transfer earnings to technicians
- Send real-time notifications about repair status, job assignments, and payments
- Display live technician location on the tracking map during a repair
- Verify technician identity and qualifications during onboarding
- Generate earnings reports and transaction history for technicians
- Respond to customer support requests
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access
- Improve app performance, fix bugs, and develop new features
- Comply with applicable laws and legal obligations
4. Location Data
Location is central to how our service works. Here is exactly how we use it:
Customer App: Your location is used to show nearby technicians and calculate travel distance. It is collected only when you initiate a repair request.
Technician App: Your GPS location is shared with the assigned customer while a repair job is active, so they can track your arrival. You can disable location sharing from Settings → Privacy → Share Live Location. When this is off, no location data is transmitted.
We do not sell, rent, or broker your location data to advertisers or data brokers. Location data is not stored beyond what is necessary to complete the repair.
5. Payment Processing
All payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. We do not store, see, or have access to your full credit card number, CVV, or bank account details.
- Customer payments are processed via Stripe PaymentIntents with manual capture (escrow model)
- Funds are released to the technician only after the customer approves the completed repair
- A platform service fee is deducted at the time of payment release
- Technicians receive payouts via Stripe Connect to their linked bank account
Stripe’s Privacy Policy governs how they handle payment data: stripe.com/privacy
6. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share it in the following limited circumstances:
Between Users: When a repair is booked, the technician’s name, photo, and star rating are visible to the customer. The customer’s first name and repair address are shared with the assigned technician.
Service Providers: We use Stripe (payments), Firebase (push notifications), and Google Maps (location services). These providers process data strictly to deliver their services and are bound by data processing agreements.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or government authority.
Business Transfer: If Wireless City is acquired or merges, your data may transfer to the new entity. You will be notified in advance.
Safety: We may share information to prevent fraud, protect users, or address security threats.
7. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time.
- Account data: retained until you delete your account
- Repair records: retained for 3 years for dispute resolution and legal compliance
- Payment records: retained for 7 years as required by financial regulations
- Location data: deleted within 30 days of the repair being completed
- OTP verification codes: automatically deleted after use or expiry (10 minutes)
- Device tokens: removed when you log out or uninstall the app
8. Your Rights & Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately. If you believe a child has submitted data, please contact us.
